About Us
Homecare Heating Supplies is a family run business and was started in 1972 selling Domestic Central Heating and plumbing solutions to the Trade and Retail in the North East of England and has grown into one of the Largest Independent Home Improvement Centers in the Country.
Whilst Central Heating and Plumbing products remain a large part of our business, the Company has diversified over the past 38 years offering many complementary products.
In 1975 Homecare opened its first dedicated bathroom showroom which currently displays a comprehensive range of bathroom suites and shower enclosures.
In 1980 we opened a small Fireplace showroom which has now grown into one of the largest selections of Fires and Fireplaces in the area.
In 1997 a large kitchen appliance showroom was built displaying appliances from all the leading manufacturers.
This development led to the launching of our online kitchen appliance shop www.homecareappliances.co.uk in 2002.
In December 2004 Homecare completed its largest expansion ever with the construction of a three storey extension to our main building in Valley Street, Darlington. This tripled the size of our warehouse facility and added even more choice to both our Fireplace and Bathroom departments.
In 2009 we doubled the size of our solid fuel stove showroom adding the market leading stoves manufacturer Stovax and its sister brands Gazco, Dovre and Yeoman. And finally 2010 saw the launch of our Panasonic TV showroom displaying all the latest home entertainment.
